4/27-30  Meat fishing has been scrappy the last three days, but we have managed a good mix of Dolphin, Wahoo, Yellowfin and Blackfin.  There has been a good showing of Blue Marlin the last two days with several caught or seen by the fleet.  Yesterday we released our third of the season during the Reelin for Research Tournament.  Reelin for Research is a Meat Fish event, but we will take a Marlin anytime.  This years event raised lots of money for cancer research!  Check them out online and get in on next years event. reelinforresearch.org     Today our young lady angler released her first Blue Marlin!  Mother Nature gets us again tomorrow and Tuesday with winds to Gale Force, but calming by mid week.  Bill Collector back out then.

4/23 and past week:  Scrappy the last couple of trips .  Choppy seas Friday and Sunday limiting us on where we could fish, but we scraped out a few Wahoo for our salty clients!  Fun still had by all! Winds Saturday forced us to cancel our trip.  Mother Nature has not been very  kind lately.  This past weekend, I had taken rare time off for family.  Bill Collector was under the command of Capt. Ken Kramer for last Saturday and Sunday,  Ken showed our clients a good time with some meat fish and Bill Collectors second Blue Marlin of the season.  Bill Collector mate, Capt. Nathan Newlin ran her Thursday and returned with a good Catch of meat and two nice Wahoo!  We had Capt. Rocky Hardison in the cockpit, I am sure everyone was well entertained!  Thanks to Ken, Nathan and Rocky for covering my few days off.  Bill Collector was in good hands!  Winds are blowing again today as Low Pressure system passes, but starting Wednesday forecast looks great and Bill Collector is back out.  Hopefully with good weather we will have a report of good fishing.  Check out www.billcollectorcharters.com for availability.  Lets go fishing!

Also:  This coming weekend is the Reelin for Research Tournament, a great event for a great cause!  Even if you are not fishing the event, come down to the Morehead City Waterfront and enjoy the excitement of the Tournament! check them out at reelinforresearch.org

4/13  The last few days out, after a few more weather days, have been a mixed bag.  We had a day of outstanding bottom fishing, plenty of big triggers!  Good sign of nice Blackfin Tuna and some Wahoo! Today we had Butch and his crew back out,  they released our first Blue Marlin of the season!  They also had good meat action with a couple of Wahoo and a good mess of Blackfin.

4/4  Mother Nature has not been kind this past weekend and last week.  It is the time of year for good fishing, but also for spring fronts.  We have not had many windows to get out the last few days when we were booked.  Hopefully that is about to do some changing.  We have another large front to pass Thursday and Friday with the weather greatly improving starting Saturday.  The extended forecast for first of next week looks beautiful and Bill Collector is available next Monday through Thursday.  Yesterday was the first decent weather day this week and the Dancin Outlaw was the only boat booked on the Waterfront.  Capt. Thomas had great catch of Wahoo, Yellowfin and Blackfin Tuna!  Fishing good and weather next week looks great, give us a call ! 252-247-5617  Bill Collector back out tomorrow, we hope to have a good report!
