12/18/15  Bill Collector hauled at JBBW for seasonal maintenance.  She will be in the yard for about two months for maintenance and more upgrades.  This winter will finalize a three year refit project!

Two years ago she received  an  engine overhaul ( Western Branch Diesel), new hard top ( Don Fultcher Welding) and bridge curtains (Capt. Shop).  Last year a Farrow Blast and Sea Hawk barrier coat for her bottom, also renewed dash and bumper (JBBW). 2016 she is receiving Alexseal top coat of hull and top sides (Capt. Squid Boat Works).  She will be ship shape and back in action by late February! As always we strive to keep her in the best condition for your fishing enjoyment!

Morehead Waterfront and Crystal Coast fishing:  As we go to the yard for the season, we go reluctantly.  The Wahoo and Blackfin Tuna bite is still good!  The last few days has also seen a good sign of Sails.  Bluefin Tuna are biting somewhat.  Every day there is a bite or three and a fish or two out of the fleet.  The bite is not red hot, however the fish being caught are very nice class!

12/1 Beautiful weather today, December Dolphin and Wahoo!  Our morning started slow, but the Wahoo started to bite mid day.  We had trouble hanging on to the picky rascals, our day ended with four Dolphin ( couple of winter Gaffers) a Blackfin and four nice Wahoo.  Up inshore the Bluefin fleet scraped out a few bites.

11/16  Beautiful Fall weather and good fishing!  Slick calm today, beautiful 78 degree blue water.  Roy and buddies enjoyed good Wahoo action, nine big ones and several bites! Our dock partner Dancin Outlaw was out yesterday and enjoyed good Blackfin Tuna action and four Sails.  Great Fall action and dates available!

11/11 Very choppy in AM, Bill Collector stayed up inshore till 9:30 AM scrapping king and Albacore.  Ran offshore late morning as wind fell out as forecast.  Seas calmed and got pretty by mid day.  Wahoo were snapping for the four hours we fished.  Our day ended with eight for a bunch of bites on Wahoo.  One Citation 57LB, three Dolphin and three King.

11/6/15  Triggers today for Brent and his gang!  we were open a few days earlier this week and had to cancel a couple due to weather.  Last weekend things slowed a bit, fishing was scrappy, but the fleet managed some nice Wahoo and there were some Sails and Blackfin!  Inshore the Kings have really gone to snapping!  Several of the fleet got em good this weekend.  Bill Collector will be running regular offshore trips into December.  Dates available, next weekend Nov 14, 15 OPEN.  We will also be running Bluefin Tuna trips late NOV, DEC if they make a showing...Call for info.

10/25 Today our group had some anglers out for their first Wahoo and Dolphin!  Seas were slick calm and a mixed bag of fish.  Wahoo Dolphin and Blackfin Tuna.  A good time had by all!

10/24 High NE winds forced the fleet to cancel their offshore trips today.  Our group opted for a half day inshore in the calm of Cape Lookout!  Calm on the beach and a beautiful sunrise at the Cape.  A good mess of fresh Blues and Spanish.  Our group enjoyed a good old fish fry of their catch at Sammy's upon their return!

9/31 and 10/1  Seas calmed enough after the passage of Low Pressure for us to fish.  The Wahoo were chewing along with a mix of Dolphin and Blackfin Tuna.  Bob and his fishing buddies joined us Wednesday for beautiful weather and good fishing! Six nice Wahoo, several Blackfin,three Dolphin and a Sail.  Thursday the Wahoo bit, twelve big Wahoo several Blackfin and a Dolphin!  Low Pressure will force us to stay to the dock this weekend, however the system will keep hurricane Joaquin off the Carolina coast.  Good weather settles back in by mid week.  The Wahoo will be waiting when it does!  Bill Collector has become open this Saturday OCT 10th!  Round up a crew and give us a call.  252-247-5617

9/28 Coastal Low Pressure still dominates our weather.  The fleet has remained at the dock for most of the past week.  The good news is this system is starting to move out today and looks like window of light winds early to mid week.  Hopefully Bill Collector and the rest of the fleet will get back out by Tuesday.

9/24 Mother Nature has not been kind the last few days.  Coastal Low Pressure has dominated our weather the past week.  The charter fleet has been tied to the dock for the better part of the week.  Dancin Outlaw fished a half day Monday in the lee of the beach and had a good Spanish catch.  Bill Collector did the same today and had a limit of nice Spanish by 10:30 AM.  The Low Pressure system will finally push out by Sunday hopefully.  Forecast for first of next week looks great!  Hopefully Bill Collector will be back chasing Wahoo by then!  PRIME Fall dates for Wahoo and Tuna still available.  www.billcollectorcharters.com

9/21  A large area of Low Pressure just south of us and a cold front to our NW has had us to the dock the last three days.  Saturday winds were blowing, but the weatherman screwed the fleet for Sunday, what a beautiful day.  All canceled based on forecast.  Winds back out of NE 20 and gusty today, but the Spanish are biting in the calm of the beach.  Hopefully Bill Collector will get back offshore tomorrow if Mother Nature will allow.  PRIME FALL dates available check out www.billcollectorcharters.com

9/1-2 We had our good friend Dwain and his family out the last two days.  Great weather and good Wahoo action.  Tuesday, we had multiple Wahoo bites, catch nine nice ones.  Dwains daughters catching Citation 41LB and a 42LB! Wednesday Dwain brought his sons, fishing was slower, but we had some nice Wahoo and Dwain got his bucket list Sail!  He had captured his first Blue and White on past trips!  Good memories with a great family!

8/29-30  Bright full moon and choppy this past Saturday.  Fishing was alot slower the last two days, several Wahoo bites we could not hold onto, but fun still had by all!
